Our Process: Once we receive your completed eligibility form, we will reach out to you to discuss your situation. We will need to know where you are located, what vehicle you have (year, make, model, and VIN), what you have been told is wrong with it, and copies of any estimates or diagnostic information you have already received.

After reviewing your information, we will work with you to arrange an inspection and diagnosis of the vehicle. This allows us to verify what repairs are actually needed and to identify any additional issues that may affect the safety or reliability of the vehicle.

If we determine that the vehicle can be reasonably repaired and made safe, we will discuss the needed repairs and parts with you. New Hope Automotive does not charge for labor. In most cases, the client will be responsible for purchasing or supplying the parts needed to complete the repair. We will help identify the correct parts and can provide guidance on where to purchase them.

In certain circumstances, New Hope Automotive may be able to cover some or all of the cost of the necessary parts using donated funds. Assistance with parts is based on the client’s circumstances, the repairs needed, available funding, and our ability to help others in the community. Because New Hope Automotive relies on donations, funding for parts cannot be guaranteed.

Our goal is to use the resources available to us to help keep safe, dependable transportation on the road for people who may otherwise be unable to afford necessary vehicle repairs.

Sometimes the cost or extent of the repairs needed to make a vehicle safe exceeds what is reasonable based on the vehicle’s condition or value. We will make every reasonable effort to find a practical repair solution, but there are situations where repairing the vehicle may not be the best use of the client’s or New Hope Automotive’s limited resources.

If we determine that repairing the vehicle is not practical, we will discuss the situation with you and, when possible, help connect you with other resources or programs that may be able to assist with obtaining replacement transportation.

If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].

We look forward to hearing from you!
